Voici la série de tableaux fondateurs à la Période La Femme Dans Tous États. C’est à partir de ce moment que je me suis mis à peindre sur la femme, une longue période qui dure encore avec de nombreux thèmes en rapport. Je me rappelle de cette excitation que j’ai eu en dessinant ces corps très épurés, en mouvement. Et d’un coup j’ai déchiré le plastique entourant le carton entoilé, et je me suis mis à peindre, heureux. Le mot audace me vient en tête quand je pense à cette série. En soit ce n’est pas audacieux, mais il y avait un quelque chose que de franchir le cap de peindre des femmes nues. Je l’ai fait spontanément. Peindre l’inconnu en quelque sorte. Je me rappelle que j’avais peur de les montrer à ma famille, de leur réaction, vu du changement de thème. Un tableau par jour, le fond est créé en utilisant une éponge. Chaque peinture gagne en intensité de couleurs, la grâce sombre dans les profondeurs, touchant le fond, illuminant les alentours de sa beauté, de sa pureté. Il y a des peintures qui vous marquent plus que d’autres. Celles-ci en font partie. Je suis ravi de vous faire partager cette série.
