Tableau à la peinture acrylique (carton entoilé 35 par 27 cm) issu de la Période «La Femme Dans Tous Ses Etats». C’est une période qui s’étale sur plusieurs années. J’y ai développé de nombreux thèmes autour du sujet global qu’est la Femme. Je ne suis pas arrivé au thème de la masturbation comme ça. J’ai traité du sujet de la vulve, de nombreuses manières différentes, gagnant en confiance sur ce sujet pas facile à peindre. Mais là j’ai osé aller encore plus loin, comme un défi pour moi même. C’était pour moi comme aller dans un territoire interdit, en me provoquant. Ici je voulais dire le mot masturber, et non ne pas utiliser de métaphores alambiquées pour le cacher. Encore un autre défi à moi-même ! Ce n’est pas le premier tableau (j’en fait fait plusieurs) que j’ai fait sur ce sujet mais c’est celui qui m’est revenu en tête le premier.
