Titre : «Place minérale
Ambassadrice caniculaire»
Tableau (carton entoilé 35 par 27 cm, peinture acrylique) issu de la Période Réchauffement Climatique. C’est Monsieur Eté qui marche tranquillement sur une place sans arbres faite que de pavés et l’ombre projetée n’est pas celle de son corps mais la température qu’il fait, 45°C. J’aimais beaucoup cette idée. J’appliquais du Gesso puis j’ai dessiné un quadrillage à 45 ° par rapport au tableau : ce sont les pavés. Je trouve aberrant qu’on construise encore des places minérales sachant que les étés deviennent de plus en plus chaud. Les arbres créent de l’ombre, de la fraîcheur… C’est un four ce genre de place en plein été, c’est absurde, idiot d’en faire.

Heat Wave Ambassador»
Painting (lined cardboard 35 by 27 cm, acrylic paint) from the Global Warming Period. It is Monsieur Eté who walks quietly on a treeless square made only of cobblestones and the shadow cast is not that of his body but the temperature he is doing, 45°C. I really liked this idea. I was applying Gesso and then I drew a grid at 45°C to the painting: these are the cobblestones. I find it absurd that we are still building mineral squares knowing that the summers are getting hotter and hotter. The trees create shade, coolness... It's an oven, that kind of place in the middle of summer, it's absurd, stupid to make it.
